WORK FROM HOME GUIDELINES
There are several things to watch out for when looking for a legitimate opportunity online. I have heard, seen and fell prey to those out there who are into the scamming business. the first rule of thumb, is "If it is too good to be true, it probably is".
With that said, let's move on to what you should be looking for when trying to find work or start an online business from home.
1) Look to see if the website has a link to the BBB, VeriSign, GeoTrust, or other sites that promote security as well as authenticity. This is one reason auction sites are popular, because there is a way for the public to view feedback and determine for themselves if they want to do business with a specific company or individual.
2) Has the company been around for awhile. A quick way to check is to go to http://www.seologs.com/dns/domain-check.html this nifty tool will spit out how long a domain has been online.
3) See if they have a blog, look to see if anything negative has been posted in their blog...many times they can edit or delete the posts, but sometimes you can get a feel if they are concerned and engaging their audience.
4) See if they have an "about us" or " "company" page, that tells you about their management, and other things that would satisfy your curiosity about who you are doing business with.
4) Read through their "policy page" or "terms of service" or any page that tells you how they handle refunds and other issues that may arise.
5) Use a pre-loaded credit card, or PayPal card, that they will handle any issues regarding payments etc.
6) It used to be that if a page looked "suspicious" or non-professional, you would shy away from it, but that is quickly becoming not the case, so trust your instincts above and beyond anything else you feel about the site.
